The Panamint Series by Jessica was published by lemon sky projects + editions in collaboration withthe artist in 2001. It consists of 10 individual images, produced in an edition of 4 with 1 artist proof and 1 publisher¹s proof. Each print is mounted in a plexiglas frame designed to the artist¹s specifications, which relates to the sculptural nature of her installations. The prints were first produced and exhibited as an accompaniment to her video installation Panamint Tilt (shown at Luckman Fine
Arts Gallery Cal State Los Angeles; [ArtPace] in San Antonio and CRG Gallery, New York.) Shot on location in Death Valley, Bronson utilized an extreme wide angle lens, thus greatly distorting the horizon line. In addition to a continued focus on movement, multiple image planes and shot structure, Bronson is specifically interested in the mythological significance of the California desert landscape.
