Frank Haines
Frank Haines is a multidisciplinary artist whose work merges
a dizzying array of references, from history, mysticism, religion,
pop culture and the occult, into environments and performances
uniquely his own invention.
Haines has had solo exhibitions
at venues including Quotidian Gallery, San Francisco; Jack
Hanley Gallery, San Francisco, Locust Projects, Miami and Three
Walls, Chicago. His work has been included in group exhibitions
at Southern Exposure, San Francisco (2000); Headlands Center
for the Arts, California (2002); and most recently in Bay Area
Now 3 at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, San Francisco (2003).
Haines graduated with an MFA in new genres from San Francisco
State University in 2000.
